The richest foods in folate (folic acid) are spices, herbs, seeds, nuts, beans, dark green leafy vegetables, whole grains & even beer!
The upper safe dose for folic acid is 1,000 mcg a day, but we shouldn’t get more than 400 mcg from dietary supplements, or fortified foods.
